SPEAKING AND TEACHING
As fiction writer and historian, I have been a featured speaker,
panelist, and reader at venues including the Pacific Northwest
History Conference, Seattle University School of Theology, Jack Straw
Studios (Seattle), and Eastern Oregon University.
I have also led workshops on community and oral history, fiction, the
nature of narrative/ story, and have eleven years experience as a
writer in the schools in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
COMMUNITY AND ORAL HISTORIES
Using interviews and a variety of research methods and sources, I
draw together the complex stories that together document a
community’s history. This can take the form of a book, a digital
presentation, or a series of recorded interviews.
I’d be happy to discuss your project. Please let me know your
thoughts and we can discuss rates: CONTACT ME.
